What is StellarBase?
StellarBase is a modular, all-encompassing AI platform. It connects every data source you have — documents, emails, chats, databases, images, audio, video — into one searchable, understandable system. On top of that corpus you build custom agents with your own domain knowledge, workflows that automate recurring tasks, and chats that answer questions with citations.
Three products work together:
- StellarBase — the core platform (knowledge base, agents, workflows, chat, search, collaboration)
- StellarCloud — managed inference APIs for open-source AI models (OCR, embeddings, NER, LLMs)
- StellarGate — privacy proxy that anonymizes any request before it reaches a third-party LLM
Everything runs on EU infrastructure by default. Everything is also fully self-hostable — Docker, Helm, air-gapped — for regulated industries that can't send data anywhere.

See Deployment Overview. Short version: if your data can live in EU cloud, start managed. If it can't — or if you need air-gapped for classified work — go straight to on-premise.

Core principles
Modular, not specialized
StellarBase is not a lit-review tool, not a contract reviewer, not a help-desk bot. It's a platform on which those workflows (and many more) are built. Specialist tools serve 10% of your day; StellarBase covers the whole day.
Grounded & cited
Every AI answer cites its sources — document, page, passage. Nothing invented. The platform is built so an auditor can always trace an output back to an input.
Your data, your rules
Zero data retention on inference APIs. EU-only hosting by default. Self-hosted for regulated workloads. Air-gapped deployments supported. Open formats end-to-end — export everything, any time.
Zero-trust by default
Every request authenticated, every resource authorized, every decision logged. Per-Base, per-document, per-agent, per-tool permissions. No implicit trust.
